Returns & Product Integrity

Why Opened Fragrances Cannot Be Resold

Fragrance is personal, but once a perfume, gift set, oil, deodorant or fragrance item has been opened, sprayed, tested, used, altered or resealed, it can no longer be treated as a new retail product. This protects product condition, hygiene, presentation and customer confidence.

Why This Policy Exists

Protecting Every Customer

A fragrance product is expected to arrive unused, complete and in the condition supplied by the manufacturer. Some manufacturers use cellophane, seals, security labels, sleeves or inserts; others do not, especially on certain gift items, oils, body sprays, home fragrance products or selected batches.

Where the manufacturer supplies cellophane, seals, security labels, sleeves, caps, inserts, gift packaging or outer boxes, these must remain intact and undamaged for an eligible return. Where no cellophane or seal was supplied, the product must still be unused, untested, complete and in the same condition received.

1

Condition matters

Opened, sprayed, tested, altered or resealed products cannot usually be treated as new retail stock.

2

Original packaging matters

All original manufacturer packaging supplied with the item should remain complete, intact and undamaged.

3

Trust matters

Strict handling protects customers from receiving items that may have been opened, tested or returned in uncertain condition.

Before Opening

If You Are Unsure Whether to Keep It

Please do not open, spray, test, reseal or alter the product. Read the product page, scent style, size, format and brand information first. If the product is eligible for return, the request should be raised inside the returns window and before the product is opened or used.

Disliking a scent after opening it, or finding that it performs differently on your skin, is not usually a valid return reason because the item can no longer be resold as new.

Return Condition

What Must Usually Stay Intact

Eligibility depends on the item remaining unused, complete and in the same condition received.

  • Cellophane, seals or security labels where supplied by the manufacturer
  • Original box, sleeves, inserts and gift packaging where supplied
  • Bottle, cap, sprayer, oil applicator or product closure undisturbed
  • No spray, testing, use, leakage caused by use or alteration
  • No resealing, rewrapping or repackaging after opening
  • Any free gifts or included promotional items returned where applicable

Important Packaging Note

Not Every Genuine Product Has Cellophane or a Seal

Some genuine fragrance products are not supplied by the manufacturer with cellophane, security seals or QR labels. Packaging varies by brand, product type, gift presentation, batch and market. The absence of cellophane or a seal does not automatically mean a product is not genuine.

Your Rights

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items Are Different

This policy does not affect your legal rights where goods are faulty, damaged, leaking, incorrect or not as described. If there is a product or order issue, keep the item, outer parcel and all packaging, then contact us before further use so the matter can be reviewed fairly.

Common Questions

Opened Fragrance Returns

These answers help customers understand the policy before opening an item.

I opened it and do not like the scent. Can I return it?

Usually no. Once opened, sprayed or tested, a fragrance cannot normally be returned for scent preference, strength preference, projection, longevity or comparison.

What if the perfume does not last on my skin?

Longevity varies by formulation, skin chemistry, weather, application and storage. Performance differences alone do not usually make the item faulty.

What if the item is damaged, leaking or incorrect?

That is a different issue. Keep all packaging and contact us before using, spraying, disposing of or returning the item.
