Fragrance Safety & Allergy Advice
Fragrance should be enjoyed with care. This page gives practical guidance for perfumes, attars, body sprays, bakhoor, incense and scented products sold by Soghaat.
This advice is general customer guidance only. Always read the product packaging, follow manufacturer instructions and seek medical advice if you have a reaction or known sensitivity.
Patch Testing & Sensitive Skin
If you have sensitive skin or a history of reactions, test a small amount on a discreet area first and wait before normal use.
If redness, itching, burning, rash or discomfort occurs, stop using the product immediately and wash the area gently.
Alcohol-free attars and perfume oils can still contain fragrance ingredients that may cause sensitivity in some people.
Fragrance allergens and sensitivities vary by person. If you are unsure about suitability, check the product packaging and speak with a healthcare professional before use.
Check Packaging Before Use
Ingredient lists, packaging details and formulas can vary by brand, product and batch. Always check the physical product packaging before applying any fragrance, especially if you avoid specific ingredients.
- Do not apply fragrance to broken, irritated or freshly shaved skin.
- Avoid contact with eyes, lips and sensitive areas.
- Keep fragrance away from children and pets.
- Store bottles away from heat, direct sunlight and open flames.
- Use only as directed and do not ingest fragrance products.
Burning Fragrance Safely
Bakhoor, incense and burners involve heat, smoke or flame. Use them only in a suitable burner on a heat-safe surface, away from curtains, fabrics, paper, furniture and anything that could catch fire.
Do not leave burning bakhoor, incense, charcoal, candles or oil burners unattended.
Use burning fragrance in a well-ventilated area and stop use if smoke causes discomfort.
Allow charcoal, burners and ash to cool completely before touching, moving or disposing of them.
What to Do Next
- Stop using the product immediately.
- Wash the affected area gently with water.
- Keep the product and packaging so ingredients and batch details can be checked.
- Seek medical advice where appropriate, especially for strong, spreading or persistent symptoms.
- Contact Soghaat with the product name, order number and details of what happened.
A reaction does not automatically mean a product is faulty. Individual sensitivities vary, so product suitability should always be checked before use.
